Pima Doll

White hand-knit sweater

$220.00

#PD013

It’s hard to believe that Pima Doll’s beautiful sweaters are crafted from surplus, end-of-roll fabric cuttings (in other words, textile pieces that would otherwise be discarded). What’s less hard to believe is that each of these pima cotton pieces takes at least eight hours to make, and that the process is completed entirely by hand. With a braided center detail, this white crewneck style is intricate, textured and has the added beauty of being one of a kind.

  • Pima Doll uses 100% pure, natural and hypoallergenic Peruvian pima cotton
  • Pima cotton is grown without chemicals and harvested by hand, which reduces its environmental impact
  • Pima cotton is an extra-durable fiber that is resistant to pilling and lasts 50% longer than ordinary cotton
  • Leftover fabric cuttings from the brand’s basics collection are upcycled into one-of-a-kind pieces that are knit, crocheted or braided by hand
  • Pima Doll knits support a traditional craft and the vibrant community of women knitters
  • Pima Doll gives 10% of its profits back to the knitters it employs
  • White color
  • 100% pima cotton
  • Hand or machine wash
  • Runs true to size
  • Flat measurement (in): length 25; sleeve length 21 (taken from a size S)
  • Made in Peru

About

Pima Doll

Pima Doll

There’s cotton and there’s pima cotton–the former's softer, silkier and more durable sibling. It's this high-quality, organically grown fiber that founder Ashley Hamedi uses throughout the Pima Doll basics range, a line of meticulously designed, eco-friendly tops, leggings and dresses. To round out her waste-free collections, Hamedi upcycles the leftover fabric cuttings into one-of-a-kind, artisan-made knits.
